A technology oriented feature
The new feature named 'Holo Audio(空间音频)' is technology oriented in ColorOS 14.0. The engineering team had already had a technical solution in advance. My role was as the ux designer collabrated with the sound designer to frame the interface in the operating system.
The user scenarios behind it
Normally the audio in the phone have one focus, and there are very complex rules for shifting the occupation among the different sources. For instance, if there is a phone call come while playing a video, the sound from the video should pause and the calling audio will take over.
With the development of IoT, as well as the needs of dealing with multiple tasks. The users have the need of overlapping the audios from different sources.

Bridge the technology and the user experience
I got the inspiration of illustrating the feature and the quality of interaction from the 3D model software.
The perception of spatial comes from the perspectives , the reference system and the 3D model represents the audios.
To balance the intuition of perceive the spatial feedback and the quality of interaction. I tried to map the interaction of moving the audios to control the sliders (which is the system component), to accomplish controlling the position in three dimensional from a flat interface.
Reflections
I designed the initial concept for this feature, as a designer who will collabrate with different roles like engineers, product manager and other designers, I had to balance the design consistency, cost of developing, the resource I had for allocating. This solution may not be the most intuitive one from the user experience aspect. But sometimes when designing in the industry, we have to make the compormises.
